International lock Kyle Baillie has put pen to paper on a deal to join Green King IPA side London Scottish for the 2017/18 season.

The second row, who can also play blindside flanker, recently appeared for defending Aviva Premiership champions Saracens in an LV Cup game against the Scarlets, but missed out on a contract after dislocating his shoulder during the clash.

An eight-cap international, Baillie has gained plenty of experience playing rugby across the globe at both international and club level. He spent 2015 playing for historic Sydney side Eastern Suburbs, before moving to America for a season in the ill-fated Pro Rugby league, scoring two tries for runners up, Pro Rugby Ohio.

The Exiles have already begun to build ahead of the 2017/18 season, with the Canadian star’s arrival adding to the recent contract extensions of fellow forwards Jonny Harris, Phil Cringle, Dan McGeekie and Matt Marley, as well as half back Ed Hoadley.

Baillie is the club’s second signing, with fly half Jake Sharp arriving from league rivals Beford Blues last week. The former Sarries man joins in the role of player coach, alongside incoming Director of Rugby Dave Morris, in a new look coaching set up, with the pair replacing Sean Lineen and Scotland Under 20s coach John Dalziel who return to the SRU after their secondment.
