Here is a link to an interview I did earlier in the week with 65 times Scotland capped Scott Hastings, where we went over the Six Nations tournament so far, looking forward to the World Cup and various other topics within Scottish Rugby.

Hopefully this will be the first of many interviews we can provide for you loyal SRB readers, please give your thoughts and feedback in the comments section below. Do have mercy as it was my first time interviewing, the public speaking classes have subsequently been booked.

Thanks to Manny Masson Photography © for the images.

  1. Enjoyed the interview Jack.
I didn’t like Scott taking part in the independance campaign, but he has the right to take part like everyone else on political topics, and he always talks sense on rugby matters.
As you’d expect from an old pro and current commentator, he’s very careful about not criticising current players. As such, I was intrigued that he gave SHC such a glowing reference and suggested he should have more game time.

    1. Cheers I appreciate that pragmatic optomist, think it was inevitable his media training would stop him saying anything too harsh on anyone in particular, especially Laidlaw. Should be the first of many interviews over the next few months so keep checking the page!

  2. Great interview. Lots of sensible comments, as you’d expect.
Nothing wrong with presentation of your questions at all – very clear and relaxed.
Also very good audio quality (not that common on podcast interviews).
I’ve worked in broadcasting for 15 years, so appreciate how much is involved in bringing it all together. You never get used to the sound of your own voice – it always sounds horrible to yourself :-)
    Keep them coming.
