Well, that was a fun Calcutta Cup. Here’s the update – the “try” has no effect on our current standing in the table this week. We just stand a little higher and of course overtake England.

This table is a parody. It reflects an alternative reality where Nic Berry awards the last minute Scottish try against France in Round 2 of the 2024 Six Nations. The motivation for creating this site is purely a therapeutic process to come to terms with what happened on that fateful afternoon in Scottish Gas Murrayfield.

As a Scotland fan I live in a world of ‘might-have-beens’ and this is now my shrine.

Hopefully it gives other fans a grain of comfort as it has done me.

  1. French players encroached on Italy’s final kick on Sunday. The referee incorrectly failed to allow Italy to retake the kick, 10 m closer to goal, depriving them of a win and another 2 points. 2 points would also be the number of points France would be sitting on at the bottom of the table.

With Italy still to face Wales while England have to face Ireland and France, there’d be a very real chance of Italy finishing third behind runners-up Ireland and the rightful Grand Slam winners Scotland.

  2. It’s amazing how the so called bigger (higher ranked) nations rarely seem to suffer ‘misfortune’ with the officials. Look at Samoa losing to England at the RWC with an England knock-on that led to a try being blatantly ignored by the TMO. Fiji were also shafted against both Wales and England. Us against France two weeks ago. Even at the RWC, South Africa were repeatedly offside against us and we got nothing from Angus Gardner and yet when Ireland play them in the next game they are suddenly offside all the time.

  3. Nice one, keep this up! Without looking past Italy, could end up making the final weekend much tastier! Thanks
