We’re delighted to announce that we will be hosting a virtual Big Club Dinner live on our Facebook page on Friday 24 July at 8:30pm.
No club dinner would be complete without some top notch guest speakers and we are going to be joined by some of the best.
- Scotland and British & Irish Lions legend Scott Hastings.
- Broadcasting legend Dougie Donnelly.
- Scotland International Rhona Lloyd.
- International referee Hollie Davidson.
- YouTube genius and king of rugby analysis Squidge Rugby.
At the “top table” will be the usual suspects from the podcast. Between speeches we’ll be reviewing the 2019/20 season and having the usual chit chat. We’ll also be looking for you to get involved in the comments on the night and over on Twitter using the hashtag #BigClubDinner.

The event is free but in return we will be asking those that are able to donate the normal cost of a club dinner or night out to their local club. If you don’t have a local club then we’ll be asking for donations to the My Name’5 Doddie foundation.

There’s also opportunities for you to “sponsor” the event in return for a donation to your local club or My Name’5 Doddie. Many clubs rely on their annual club dinners to raise vital funds to keep the club going and most have been unable to host their dinners and other fundraising events such as 7s tournaments. Anything you’re able to give will be greatly received and help towards ensuring your community club survives the impacts of coronavirus.
If you’re involved in a club and want to get involved then why not set up your own event or watch party for the night? Maybe open a virtual bar and get people to buy a couple of pints.
