Exiles

This page is for gathering a (mostly comprehensive) list of Scottish qualified players all around the world, so you know who to keep an eye on or support at random moments. Primarily the ones we don’t know about yet. So if you spot someone playing well who could be Scottish qualified let us know in the comments!

We don’t really have a purpose for this page yet or anyone to look after it, so we’d welcome any suggestions!

    Saracen’s Duncan Taylor got MoTM in their win against Bath at the weekend playing at centre. Get him in the Autumn International squad!

    Also see that Tommy Allan started for Perpignan at stand off against Johnny Sexton’s Racing Metro at the weekend. Scotland do have stand offs, what is depressing is our, and particularly Edinburgh’s ability to spot them.

    Well you did it again, embarrassed us yet again,yet again and yet again
    I live in South Africa as many Scots do, we go to, or watch our heros play the sport, we were once held in high esteem, but when we are playing against a ”real team,” we Scots go in heads high, full regalia, pumping for our team only to leave the venue again, tail between our legs [just in case you forgot 55 – 6 ]
    Please do not compare the Canadians, with the likes of New Zealand, South Africa or Australia, if you do you are living in Walter Mitty Land
    Final comment, I would compare the Scottish Rugby to Bafana Bafana. Sorry guys, you are just not making the grade
    I always think Scotland plays good Classic rugby but I think they have got to realise its points that count. Ian Watson

    There is a lad playing down in South Africa for the stormers, Huw Jones (21), Born in Edinburgh but moved to England. He’s played a few games this year with a try, maybe Edinburgh Rugby could look at him. There are also a few Irish boys born in Scotland, no idea if their parents are Scottish;
    – Sean Dougall, Pau, 25 born in Perth
    – John Cooney, Connatch, 25, born in Blantyre

    Does anyone know anything about Hamish Stewart’s eligibility, he’s a fly half for the Reds and Brad Thorn has picked him over Quade Cooper. Surely with a name like that he’s got to have some Scottish blood

    There are two young guys playing in the new USA MLR

    Kieran Farmer, fly half for Houston
    Callum Mackintosh, prop for New York

    Would interesting to see how they develop and if they’ll choose USA over Scotland
