Scotland Women’s Head Coach Bryan Easson has announced eight changes in personnel and one positional switch to the starting XV for their final Vodafone Series match against Fiji this Saturday.
Anne Young and Elliann Clarke will make their first starts for Scotland at loosehead and tighthead prop, respectively, with Lana Skeldon continuing at hooker while Louise McMillan is paired with Sarah Bonar in the second row.
In a re-framed back row, captain Rachel Malcolm teams up with Rachel McLachlan and Jade Konkel comes in at her traditional position of number eight.
In the backs Meryl Smith moves from centre to stand-off, forming a half-back partnership with Caity Mattinson, who returns after a serious neck injury sustained during the Guinness Six Nations earlier this year.
Lisa Thomson, fresh off her Olympic appearance with GB Sevens, returns to the XV at inside centre having missed out last weekend in the win over Wales. Emma Orr retains the outside centre role.
The back three consists of Coreen Grant, Chloe Rollie—who scored twice against Wales last Friday—and another Sevens expert in Rhona Lloyd.
On the bench, forwards Elis Martin, Lisa Cockburn, Christine Belisle, Eva Donaldson, and Evie Gallagher are ready to make an impact, while backs replacements include last weekend’s debutants Leia Brebner-Holden and the impressive Lucia Scott, alongside Helen Nelson who can provide a steadying hand if needed.
