Edinburgh second-row Lewis Carmichael has been added to the 37-man Scotland squad for the remaining rounds of the 2020 Guinness Six Nations.
Carmichael will be looking to add to the two caps – which included a try-scoring debut – earned on the 2018 summer tour. In turn, Cornell du Preez will return to his club Worcester Warriors.
It was also confirmed clubmate and wing Darcy Graham will play no part in the tournament following the knee injury he sustained at the start of the campaign.
After Finn Russell took part in Racing92’s thrashing of La Rochelle at the weekend, there has finally been update on his position with the squad. Conversations have taken place between Finn and Gregor Townsend, and while both parties have agreed that he won’t play a role on the pitch in the final two rounds, he has made himself available for a strategy call with coaches ahead of the France game.
