Dave Rennie’s Glasgow team isn’t in quite as much trouble in terms of the league as Richard Cockerill’s Edinburgh, so he’s rested most of his Scotland stars ahead of a tricky European against Saracens.
For the visit of the Cheetahs, both Fagerson brothers are back in harness while the most welcome news for the #Warriornation will be the return of Callum Gibbins as captain and openside.
Adam Hastings is perhaps one who will want some time off the bench to show he should be back in contention for the 10 after a tricky last few months in Glasgow colours but some assured cameos for Scotland. Pete Horne starts at standoff and it will be interesting to see if either of them can knock Brandon Thomson out of the way in Rennie’s mind.
Stuart Hogg, Huw Jones, Ryan Wilson and George Horne remain on the injured list for now which mean some game time for younger lads like Bruce Flockhart, Patrick Kelly and Robbie Nairn. Development of the next generation of Glasgow stars continues apace.
