For our 2018 Christmas Special Cammy and Rory are joined by Alan from Thistle Scottish Rugby Podcast during a temporary ceasefire in the Scottish Rugby Podcast Wars. We’ve a European review, preview the 1872 Cup plus our 2018 awards.

The podcast is available on Apple Podcasts, Acast, Spotify, TuneIn and Audioboom as well as anywhere else that will let you subscribe through an rss feed. You can also just listen through this webpage using your desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile device.

Please leave us a review on Apple Podcast if you like what we do and anywhere else that lets you leave a review. If there’s any other apps or podcast sites you think we should be on please let us know.

We’re also looking for our listeners to get involved in the comments on this page and elsewhere on the blog:

“Hands in the ruck” – What’s had it’s hands in your ruck? Let us know in the comments and we’ll pick out the best ones.

“Absolute Bobbins” – Have you or anyone you know got a seemingly ridiculous opinion on something rugby related? Let us know and we will happily sit in judgement.

“Crap call offs” – Send us your crap reasons for teammates and players for not coming to training or calling off before a game.

“Where’s Dougie Donnelly?” – It’s now mandatory to have a rumours section in a rugby podcast (apparently) so we’re looking for yours as well as news of any Scottish sporting media personalities you’ve spotted out and about. Have you seen Dougie Vipond down Tesco? Has your uncle’s brother’s aunt’s friend heard from someone down the pub that Jonny Gray is getting a new fence put in? Has your plumber been doing some work round Murrayfield and seen Richard Cockerill taking delivery of a new yoga mat? If so then let us know.

If you want to get in touch you can e-mail us on podcast[at]scottishrugbyblog.co.uk, catch us on Twitter @ScotRugbyBlog or @CammyBlack or you can leave a comment below and we’ll pick it up there.

Don’t forget to check out our Redbubble shop where you can buy t-shirts, mugs and other merch inspired by the blog and podcast.

Not sure what to make of this pod, feels wrong having the enemy come over but also highly arousing.

Perhaps we could try get Scott Johnson on a future pod before he leaves ? gain some insight on everything he did.

  2. Spike Southwell on

This one might be worth a listen then. The miserable one from thistle is like Mr Tumble compared the dourness usually on show on this pod

I dont agree. The Thistle guy made a few good comments but thinks nothing exists west of Bathgate. I think Cammy invited him along just to show up how good our podcast is and it worked spectacularly.Good Initiative…Now where is that top man John Anderson ….get him back for the 1872 banter.

Enjoyed the combination from both the pods and good preview of 1872 where I can’t pick a winner either. If you hear specific details about Shaun Wane’s role and what he’ll be doing day to day and/or overall it would be great hear about, he can make really positive impact on Scottish rugby if he is used right and may get more responsibility now that Johnson has gone
