Ruaridh Jackson will return to Scotstoun on a one year deal.
Much like Brandon Thomson, another former Warrior who has returned for another spell, he will provide fly-half and fullback cover for the Warriors with Stuart Hogg currently recovering from surgery and Finn Russell likely to be in demand when the international periods roll around.
Since leaving Glasgow in the 2013/14 season on 113 appearances, 29-year-old Jackson has had spells at Wasps and Harlequins and struggled for game time with both behind players like Jimmy Gopperth and Nick Evans.
With a few years left in his career, Jackson should find games a little easier to come by in two of Scotland’s generally thinner positions and make a welcome to return to the warm embrace of the Warrior nation.
That’s the second time I’ve used that headline, apparently. Sorry.
