With the carrot of a winning send off for Sean Lamont, Gody Reid, Josh Strauss and Gregor Townsend and the stick of losing to an out-of-form Edinburgh, Glasgow still couldn’t drag themselves out of the mess that has cost them plenty of wins this season. How did the players rate against Edinburgh on the final day of the season?
15. Stuart Hogg: Couple of missed penalties when the corner was the better option for Glasgow – took a nice try and constant threat – 7/10
14. Tommy Seymour: Unlucky to be held up on a trademark blind burst but quiet otherwise. Like Hogg, survived intact to get his Lions kit today – 6/10
13. Alex Dunbar: Slipped a couple of tackles, looked shattered. Been a long season – 5/10
12. Peter Horne: Unfortunate to be outside Finn on one of ‘those’ days. Didn’t impact the game –6/10
11. Lee Jones : Couple of breaks and looked for work. Hoyland has usurped him for tour spot though – 6/10
10. Finn Russell: Oh man… a difficult day at the office. Created, then destroyed some lovely moves. Actually looked rusty considering a couple of weeks break, but will no doubt play himself into form on tour –4/10
9. Ali Price: Sniped well, and delivered quick ball to Russell as he always does. Well tackled by Edinburgh gave him less space then he likes – 6/10
1. Gordon Reid: Solid scrum, but very little else from Reid on his last Warriors outing – 6/10
2. Fraser Brown: A couple of strange penalties conceded, didn’t impact the breakdown like he can but still had the edge over Ford – 6/10
3. Zander Fagerson: Carried well, looked lively and enjoyed linking with his brother – 7/10
4. Scott Cummings: Pick of the bunch for Glasgow – a Nakarawa like offload for Glasgow’s first try being the highlight. A possible bolter for the Scotland tour but Cummings has a huge future ahead of him regardless – 8/10
5. Jonny Gray: Took his try well, got through a decent workload but looked very tired at the end of a brutal season. Another who could use a break – 7/10
6. Rob Harley: Lost the breakdown battle against a combative Edinburgh unit, and was made to look ineffective as a result – 6/10
7. Chris Fusaro: As above. Took a big tackle from John Hardie early on and never really got into the game after that – 6/10
8. Matt Fagerson: Didn’t break the gainline as much as needed. Great prospect though, and interesting to see him start not Ashe – 6/10

22. Nick Grigg: Couple of opportunities missed to use the ‘Worlds Smallest Wrecking Ball’ – should tour with Scotland – 6/10
23. Sean Lamont: Marked purely for his exceptional charity work, raising £8k whilst bringing back the blonde bombshell look. One decent gallop in his 20 minutes, but the fairytale ending of a try was not to be – 10/10
