Seeing as I didn’t get a chance to hunt down the U20’s key playoff against Italy at the weekend here are some highlights via the IRB.

By winning this game 34-17, Scotland U20s avoid the relegation battle – 12th placed in the competition drops down to the IRB Junior World Trophy. They also find themselves in a mirror-image of the Scotland senior team’s battle for 9th spot in the IRB World Rankings as their opponents will also be Samoa, current holders of the 9th place ranking at senior level.

That match takes place on the 22nd June, 12noon SA time.
